Hello
My name is Benny Rana, I am a Masters Student, currently in the Faculty of Kinesiology
Supervisor: Dr. Nicole Culos-Reed
Research Project: Addressing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Exercise Oncology: Understanding Exercise Barriers and Facilitators for LGBTQIA2S+
My Story
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Royal University and then went on to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Saskatchewan. After my MPH degree, I worked in the field of cancer epidemiology, where I conducted research on the impact of modifiable risk factors, like physical activity. Combining my interest in physical activity with my public health background, I wanted to pursue work and research related to facilitating exercise as a supportive cancer care resource, and implementation at a community level

My career goals include continuing graduate school and conducting research to address EDI within the field of exercise oncology.
